Kim was born in Baytown, Texas. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University (BBA, Summa Cum Laude, 1980). She also attended Texas Tech University where she completed advanced accounting courses. Her primary areas of responsibility include accounting and tax services for a variety of small businesses and professionals, as well as income tax preparation for individuals.
