Larry was born in Orange, Texas, and grew up in
Beaumont. He graduated from Lamar State College of Technology (BBA,
1970). He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Houston where
he obtained audit experience with banks, oil and gas companies and
regulated industries. His primary areas of responsibility include
audits and taxation of banks, individual taxation and estate and trust
taxation. During his career, Larry has been involved in financial
statement audits or directors' examinations of eleven different community
banks in Beaumont and outlying communities. Larry is a member and
past President of the Southeast Texas Chapter of the Texas Society
of CPAs and Southeast Texas Estate Planning Council. He is also a
member of the American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs, Beaumont
Chamber of Commerce and Lamar Cardinal Club. In addition, Larry is
a licensed NASD Series 7 General Securities Representative and holds
a Texas Department of Insurance Group I Life, Accident, Health and
HMO license. Larry is a registered representative with 1st GLOBAL
